The Brief
Lighting Project Solutions was appointed to deliver a high-quality outdoor pathway LED lighting scheme for the prestigious Belfry Hotel & Resort. Our objective was enhancing both the guest experience and the visual appeal of the grounds.
Working closely with the project team, we designed and supplied a lighting solution that provides safe, reliable illumination while complementing the resort’s surroundings.
The Solution
To create a high-performance LED lighting scheme that delivers safety, functionality and visual appeal, we designed a bespoke outdoor lighting solution. The design combines our own architectural luminaires with carefully selected products from PUK Lighting. Throughout the project, we specified a 2700K warm white LED colour temperature. As a result, the lighting creates a welcoming atmosphere that complements The Belfry Hotel & Resort’s architecture and landscaped surroundings.
The resort’s pathways were illuminated using our Heras LED bollards and Hera wall-mounted bulkheads. Each luminaire was selected to suit the specific environment. Depending on the width and layout of the pathway, we used either forward-throw or sideways-throw optics. This approach delivers consistent, uniform illumination while reducing unnecessary light spill. Consequently, guests benefit from improved visibility and safer navigation after dark. At the same time, the lighting maintains a warm and inviting appearance throughout the resort.
Covered walkways and sheltered areas were illuminated with PUK Lighting Nano Linear HP downlights. These fittings provide discreet architectural lighting that integrates seamlessly into the building design. Furthermore, PUK Lighting Terra Medium HP uplights were installed to highlight mature trees. This adds depth, texture and visual interest across the landscape. Around the decking areas, PUK Lighting Hydrofloor Nano XS in-ground luminaires create subtle perimeter lighting. As a result, outdoor spaces are clearly defined while preserving the resort’s elegant character.
The completed LED outdoor lighting scheme successfully combines performance, efficiency and aesthetics. Moreover, it enhances safety without compromising the natural beauty of the surroundings. The carefully controlled optics improve wayfinding and reduce unwanted light spill. Meanwhile, the warm 2700K colour temperature creates a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests. Overall, the project delivers a cohesive lighting solution that strengthens the premium character of The Belfry Hotel & Resort while providing reliable, energy-efficient illumination.
